He is my father. He is not being a good friend to me. I wish him to
being a good friend rather than father
It should be
He is my father. He is not being a good friend to me. I wish him to
be a good friend rather than father
Because (To) is infinitive so the verb that comes after that will be without any addings
Is it true???

first we don't need passive (he is not being
second we need infinative after to (to being)

Correct this sentence
My brother likes to drink his tea thick
Thank you very much for such an interesting challenging sentence
Excuse me, I'd like very much to explain .
the sentence correction may be on to different sides:
1- My brother likes to drink his tea dark
But this means he likes to drink it now , at the moment .
OR: My brother likes drinking his tea dark.
But this means he likes it dark all the time ( Habit )
The verb like may be followed by either of the following structures :
Like + to + Inf.
and you use the structure as a polite request of some thing you need now
While : Like + V. + ing
expresses the general idea or habit as seen in the example mentioned above
But when you use it to show that some person prefers something to some thing else you use only gerunds
Ex : I like writing to drawing.
I hope it would be a flexible grammar rule
and thanks again Mr Expert
