?What's the difference between cry and weep
There is not a lot of difference, except that 'cry' is usually the whole action, and 'weep' is the tears coming from the eyes. So a baby cries noisily, the mother weeps silently. Other things can weep - for example a wound - and crying is sometimes purely vocal, with no weeping involved
